Tell me about you, where you come from, your childhood ?
I'm from Narbonne, a little sunny city in the south of France.
I grew up there with my parents and my brother Dimitri.I've studied tourism but directly after graduated I've started working in fashion. At 22 years old I've packed my luggage direction London.
I was so excited to live in this amazing city, I also wanted to practice my english.I've started as a seller in Aldo, a shoes brand, and fastly they gave me the responsabilities of the visual merchandising.
After a while I wanted a change for a clothing company so I've found a job as merchandising supervisor in Liverpool street at Monsoon/accessories.
I've spent 5 years in this crazy city, but I was missing so much the sun (I from the south of France, remember?) !!! So I've chosen Barcelona. New country, new language, sunny and close to my familly.
How came the idea of your brand VintageMe, also the organisation of the Fabulous market, and why this focus on vintage clothes?
Today I've met Erika. She is the founder of Vintage me ( shop online of vintage clothes made in France) and the organizer of the Fabulous market (vintage market once per month in Barcelona).She looks amazing with her summer outfit and this beautiful smile.
I've learned the culture vintage in the East London (Bricklane) where I was linving. Fastly I've could identified myself to this style. It's Unique and that's make you feel different. I love it so much that I've decided to create my shop online of vintage clothes. I've called it VintageMe. After 3 years the website was running well so I was looking for a new challenge, but something in connection with my "little baby" VintageMe. On October 2012, started the new project with the first edition of Fabulous Market (in partner with my Italian friend Giulia).We've organizated it in an art gallery in the R aval. It was a success and we were really surprised and also motivated to fallow. So since then once per month we find a new location with cool vibes to organize the Fabulous Market, with designers, DJ, hair dresser, make up...
Do you have some new projects or collaborations?
Yessss...A new market!!! During all the summer every sunday, we will organize the Coco Market at the bar-restaurant Juanita Lalà direct at Barceloneta beach. Vintage and also new designers ...My other project is the opening of my first shop. The name will be La Boutique and I will sell exclusively vintage "de luxe" (Hermes, Chanel...). Right now I'm looking for the perfect local in Barcelona center so I cannot give you a date but is coming soon I hope!
How would you describe the woman "vintage", her style, where does she lives, where does she travel...?
I don't believe in a perfect definition for a woman "vintage". Each woman can give to her style a vintage touch with a detail or acan dress it as a total look. You can also choose the period style you prefer 90's,80's,70's,60's...She is a working girl, she knows her style and is sure of herself, she is unique.
Her favorite city to live would be London, Berlin or Paris and she would love to travel to the Scandinavian countries where they also have a nice culture on the vintage.
Actually the 10th of august i'm going to Copenhagen to a vintage marcket "Rite Blä's Lopper", and the 12-13th of September I will be to another one in Madrid "Mercado de los motores, the beggining of VintageMe international!!!
